anybody out there 2.0?

Only last week, I decided to move my photos from facebook to picasa. The interface is nicer, you can upload better quality fotos, etc. However, how do I get my friends to see them without spamming them anytime I upload a new album? – This is the one thing that facebook solved by (a) getting you to log in daily and (b) through the news feeds.
